Their experimentation with various vegetables, fruits, and spices laid the groundwork for the recipes that Xochitl uses in our products today. The Aztec people were the originators of the sun-dried and smoked peppers, called Chipotles (smoked peppers). The flavor from the chipotle pepper is now regarded as one of the most delightful and distinguishable flavors in the world.
